Avi Avital, mandolin: Song of the Birds; with the Between Worlds Ensemble (Deutsche Grammophon)

Mandolinist Avi Avital recently released his latest project with the Between Worlds Ensemble. It’s titled Song of the Birds. The project’s mission is to bring a 21st-century approach to the legacy of 20th-century composers like Béla Bartok by exploring how Indigenous folk music can fuel new progressive concert music.
