Grammy-winning composer Michael Daugherty is one of the most commissioned, performed and recorded composers in the American music scene. He recently collaborated with violinist Anne Akiko Meyers and the Albany Symphony, led by conductor David Alan Miller, on a recording exploring the triumphs and tragedies of flight. The album is titled Blue Electra, which is the title track commissioned by Akiko Meyers as a tribute to Amelia Earhart. Find out more on New Classical Tracks with host Julie Amacher.
