New Classical Tracks - Gil Shaham

Violinist Gil Shaham Coleridge-Taylor, Dvořák, Stewart; with Eric Jacobsen, conductor; Virginia Symphony Orchestra (Canary Records)

“People have been telling me for more than, I think more than 30 years, ‘Oh, you have to learn the Coleridge Taylor,’” says violinist Gil Shaham. “[…] I guess it was a COVID project, you know? And it's one of the great masterpieces. I really love it.” Shaham was excited to perform British composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s Violin Concerto in collaboration with Eric Jacobson and the Virginia Symphony Orchestra. That performance now appears on Shaham’s latest recording. Find out more on New Classical Tracks.
