Dan Wilson, piano: Goodnight Los Angeles (Ballroom Recordings)
Dan Wilson has been a cult hero of American smart pop music since the 1980s. You may remember him from bands like Trip Shakespeare or Semisonic. He’s a four-time Grammy-winner who has collaborated with pop stars like the Chicks, Taylor Swift and Jon Batiste, just to name a few. He’s a singer, a songwriter, a producer and a performer who studied art at Harvard University. He recently released his first instrumental recording called Good Night Los Angeles. It’s a collection of lullabies recorded on a 1918 upright piano found on the streets of Hollywood. Find out more on New Classical Tracks with host Julie Amacher.
