New Classical Tracks - Alice Sara Ott

Alice Sara Ott, piano: John Field - Complete Nocturnes (Deutsche Grammophon)

“Probably the most rewarding thing for me was that in Germany, we made it into the pop chart,” says pianist Alice Sara Ott. “And to see John Field above Rihanna was for me like such a surreal moment. And that made me really happy because it just proved to me that this music is relevant still today!” Five years ago, Ott discovered the Nocturnes of Irish composer John Field. Today she’s so enthusiastic about these pieces that she’s performing them on tour and she recently recorded all 18 of them.
