New Classical Tracks - Alejandro Hernandez-Valdez and Frederica von Stade

Frederica von Stade, mezzo-soprano: Crimson Roses — Contemporary American Choral Music; with Music Viva NY Choir and Orchestra, led by conductor Alejandro Hernandez-Valdez (Naxos)

Frederica Von Stade is a legendary mezzo-soprano who once performed with Placido Domingo on the Metropolitan Opera stage in 2000. These days, she’s living a life filled with gratitude, which also is the sentiment she experienced when she received the call to be featured on Domingo’s choral cantata, And Crimson Roses Once Again Be Fair, with conductor Alejandro Hernandez-Valdez and the Musica Viva NY Choir and Orchestra. Although she happily agreed to the project, she says this will be her final recording. Find out more on New Classical Tracks, with host Julie Amacher.
