New Classical Tracks - Desmond Earley

Desmond Earley and the Choral Scholars of University College Dublin: Chamber Music by James Joyce; with the Solstice Ensemble (Signum Classics)

Desmond Earley is the artistic director for the Choral Scholars of University College Dublin. He and the singers have a special connection to the legendary Irish novelist and poet James Joyce, who was an alumnus of the school. He wrote a collection of poems he called Chamber Music, and his hope was that they would someday be set to music. Earley honored that wish by commissioning 18 composers from around the world for the first volume of Chamber Music by James Joyce. Find out more on New Classical Tracks, with host Julie Amacher.
