New Classical Tracks - Kip Winger

Composer Kip Winger – Symphony of the returning Light/Violin Concerto “In the Language of Flowers”; with Giancarlo Guerrero, conductor; Peter Otto, violin; Nashville Symphony Orchestra (Naxos)

Composer Kip Winger recently sat down with host Julie Amacher to talk about his latest album. Now, one may ask, is that the Kip Winger? The same person who toured with Alice Cooper and the Alan Parsons Project, and then formed the glam-rock band Winger in the ‘90s? Well, yes, that is correct. Winger has been a closet classical music fan his entire life. He lives in Nashville these days, which makes collaborating with conductor Giancarlo Guerrero and the Nashville Symphony much easier. Their latest recording features Winger’s Symphony of the Returning Light, as well as his violin concerto: In the Language of Flowers. Find out more on New Classical Tracks.
