New Classical Tracks - Simone Dinnerstein

Pianist Simone Dinnerstein and Baroklyn – Hourglass (Naïve)

Pianist Simone Dinnerstein has great admiration for American composer Philip Glass. He wrote his third piano concerto for her, and she’s included his music in a number of her recitals over the years. In Dinnerstein’s latest recording, HourGlass, she anticipates Glass’ 90th birthday in January 2027. It features his suite composed for the 2002 film The Hours, as well as his Tirol Concerto, performed here alongside Baroklyn, a string ensemble Dinnerstein founded and currently directs.
