New Classical Tracks - Lynda O’Connor

Lynda O’Connor: The Irish Four Seasons (and Vivaldi’s Four Seasons) (Avie)

Lynda O’Connor is an Irish violinist who recently released her debut solo recording. She had planned to do it earlier, but she has been busy performing with various ensembles and a few pop stars you’ll recognize, such as Van Morrison, U2 and Michael Bublé. When it comes to making music, O’Connor’s focus is on having fun and sharing it with others. On this recording, she’s doing that alongside a hand-picked ensemble called Anamus and her dear friend, cellist and composer Ailbhe McDonagh. The recording pairs their interpretation of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons with The Irish Four Seasons, a piece composed by McDonagh for O’Connor.
