On both Sunday and Monday at 2 p.m., Copper Street Brass Quintet will perform at the Minnesota State Fair on the stage at the MPR booth, located near the corner of Judson and Nelson. Founded in Albuquerque, N.M., in 2007, the Copper Street Brass Quintet (or CSBQ) relocated to Minneapolis in 2008.
Today at 2 p.m., Minnesota Boychoir will perform at the MPR booth at the State Fair, located near the corner of Judson and Nelson. According to its website, the Minnesota Boychoir is the oldest boy choir in the Twin Cities metropolitan area, having been founded in 1962.
This week our 10 a.m. Morning Glories are devoted to the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, as we look forward to a live broadcast on Saturday, June 8th (at 8 p.m. with John Birge hosting), closing the 2012-2013 season.
Dick Green has worked as an art director for numerous ad agencies and makes art and music though nowadays he spends time as a school bus driver listening to Classical MPR on his route.
Composer Kirsten Broberg has written for the Kronos Quartet, the Chicago Symphony and the SPCO. She just landed her dream job at the University of North Texas.
