Sing to Inspire: Harmony in the Park

Sing To Inspire: Vol. 9

This week, I have the opportunity to hang out with thousands of my friends, listen to some amazing choral music and eat ridiculously good food from Sea Salt. Now, if you've seen me before, you would assume that my favorite part of trio listed above would be the food from Sea Salt, but actually the thought of that many people coming together for some choral nerdery is by far the most EXHILARATING part of the evening!

Come out and join us at the bandshell in Minnehaha Regional Park on Thursday, June 4, at 7 p.m. We will have the opportunity to hear the Calliope Women's Chorus, Twin Cities Youth Chorale, and the National Lutheran Choir.

On June 28, we will be presenting Harmony in the Park in Duluth's Leif Erikson Park. That Sunday, you'll get to enjoy the Echoes of Peace Choir, Lake Superior Youth Chorus, and the Twin Ports Choral Project.

Harmony in the Park
Harmony in the Park is a free choral concert June 4 in Minneapolis and June 28 in Duluth, Minn.

At both of these events we encourage you to bring the entire family for a fun-filled choral celebration. Guess what? We will even have the audience sing a little bit! So prepare to use your outdoor voice for those activities while we enjoy stunning choral music in some of our state's most gorgeous parks.

NEW THIS YEAR! Drop off gently used instruments to help kids in need! Classical MPR wants to keep music education strong in Minnesota and will be collecting instruments at both events for Play It Forward, a statewide musical instrument drive in partnership with the Minnesota Music Educators Association (MMEA). Donate clean, gently used and playable instruments, which will be given to school music programs in need of instruments, especially as a help for kids who can't otherwise afford them.
