Today at 2 p.m., OVation will perform at the Minnesota State Fair at the MPR booth, located near the corner of Judson and Nelson. Classical MPR's Valerie Kahler hosts.

Today at 2 p.m., CORO! (the exclamation mark is part of the name) will perform at the MPR booth at the State Fair, located near the corner of Judson and Nelson. CORO! is a semi-professional chorus based in the Twin Cities.

Today at 2 p.m., Minnesota Boychoir will perform at the MPR booth at the State Fair, located near the corner of Judson and Nelson. According to its website, the Minnesota Boychoir is the oldest boy choir in the Twin Cities metropolitan area, having been founded in 1962.

The 45-member choir is making its first U.S. tour, which includes stops in Winona, Minn., and in Minneapolis before heading off to Los Angeles and New York.

With nearly 6,000 voices represented, Eric Whitacre's latest installment of his 'Virtual Choir' series is the most ambitious and widest-reaching assembly of a global choir to date.

This last weekend the wonderful choral program at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities embarked on their first tour of Minnesota. We were able to catch up conductors Kathy Romey and Matt Mehaffey and speak with them about their experiences on the road.

On Sunday, February 17, the 2013 VocalEssence "Witness" concert pays tribute to Marian Anderson's legacy. Classical MPR's John Birge learned more from the singer who'll evoke the spirit of Anderson, Marlissa Hudson.
