This week, the vocal ensemble Voces8 released a new video of the group performing 'Lay a Garland' by Robert Lucas Pearsall (1795 - 1856). The piece has become a mainstay in the group's repertoire, a somber remembrance of the date of its first concert.

To help celebrate the grand opening of the new Minnesota State Capitol building, Classical MPR is teaming up with VocalEssence for a very special Bring the Sing on the Capitol Green on Sunday, Aug. 13, at 1 p.m. Come join other choral enthusiasts as we sing favorites from the Great American Songbook, led by conductor G. Phillip Shoultz, III.
