The Voces8 U.S. Scholars, the U.S.-based training ensemble of the acclaimed British vocal group Voces8, perform Paul Smith’s arrangement of the traditional song “The Wayfaring Stranger” — recorded exclusively for Minnesota Public Radio at its flagship studio in St. Paul. “I was drawn to arrange this beautiful folk song both for the melody and for the universal themes that lie within the text,” says Smith, who leads the Scholars. “… I hope this choral arrangement allows the singers to find a path through the music that is both moving for the audience and fun to sing.”
