On Jan. 1, Thomas Søndergård and the Minnesota Orchestra, along with pianist Stephen Hough, welcomed 2024 with a sparkling concert. The audience experienced the intimacy of a snowy evening through Sergei Prokofiev’s Winter Bonfire, the fireworks of Sergei Rachmaninoff’s famous Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini and the joy of Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker.
