Flicks in Five: Dead Poets Society

Just over two years ago, the world lost a great comedian, actor, and improvisational genius in Robin Williams.

Many of us remember how Williams would make us laugh in his standup comedy routines and various television and film roles. However, throughout his career, he also developed into one of the great serious character actors of our time.

He garnered critical acclaim for dramatic roles in movies such as Good Will Hunting, The Fisher King, and Dead Poets Society, in which he played Mr. John Keating — a teacher who was loved by his students but feared by the establishment. That role earn him nominations for both an Oscar and Golden Globe in the category of Best Actor.

In this week's Flicks in Five, Lynne Warfel will share some of Maurice Jarre's music from 1989's Dead Poets Society.
