For our weekly feature, "Moveable Feast," Rachel Hutton of Minnesota Monthly joins John Birge to talk about where to go and what to eat in Minnesota.

It's Easter weekend, and for a lot of people, that means brunch. That's why on this week's Moveable Feast, John and Rachel talk about places that are good for brunch, whether Easter or any special occasion.

For a big blowout brunch, Rachel suggests the Nicollet Island Inn, which features a five-course brunch served in a beautiful dining room that offers views of the Mississippi River and Minneapolis skyline.

But for Easter or other celebrations — at this time of year, think Mom, Dad or grad — Rachel looks to the local neighborhood places. For Rachel, that means Grand Cafe, with its notable scones, baked goods and eggs benedict.

Representing St. Paul, John looks to Meritage, the Saint Paul Hotel, and the Strip Club — which John is quick to clarify means its signature New York strip steak. (What were you thinking?)

And on neutral ground, John and Rachel both agree the Red Stag Supper Club in Northeast Minneapolis is a fine choice, with its smelt fries and bloody Marys. As John quips, "Nothing says 'Easter' like smelt fries and bloody Marys."

Next week: local, organic eats for Earth Day.
