Minnesota Orchestra all-stars, Erin Keefe and Tony Ross perform the Zoltan Kodaly Duo for Violin and Cello in this week's Regional Spotlight.

In this week's Regional Spotlight are three all-star performers, concertmaster and principal cello of the Minnesota Orchestra, Erin Keefe and Tony Ross with pianist, Ester Wang. Mozart's Piano Trio K.542 sings in their hands.

The chamber choir From Age to Age not only performs at a high level, but part of its mission is to raise awareness and funding for non-profits that make a difference in the lives of those for whom they advocate.

Directed by Samuel Kjellberg, the State Fair Singers, a young adult choir, performs Samuel Barber's Mary Hynes and Pseudo-Yoik by Finnish composer Jaako Mantyjarvi.

Shostakovich was interested in numbers. Like Bach he conceived patterns that playfully told a story in and of themselves. There is an amazing example in the Shostakovich String Quartet No. 12. The 1968 piece was composer especially for the Beethoven String Quartet of Moscow. The Artaria Quartet performs the Shostakovich String Quartet No. 12 in this week's Regional Spotlight.

The fruit of an Artist Initiative Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board is in this week's Regional Spotlight. Paula Gudmundson recently traveled to Latin America to research music composed for flute. She found a "gold mine." From a May 2012 recital at the MacPhail Center for Music in Minneapolis Gudmundson and pianist, Leah Siltberg perform a Sonata by Argentine composer, Alberto Williams.
