Host Steve Seel continues our celebration of Earth Month on Extra Eclectic with a nod to composers who are passionate about the protection of nature’s fragile ecosystems. Steven Stucky’s Silent Spring pays tribute to Rachel Carson’s seminal 1962 treatise on pollution and the environment, and we also hear works including John Luther Adams’ Become River, Scott Lee’s Through the Mangrove Tunnels, and selections by all three of contemporary classical’s composing Gabrielas: Smith, Montero, and Ortiz!
