Osip Nikiforov discusses Florence Price's Piano Concerto

Interview: Osip Nikiforov

On Sunday, March 8, pianist Osip Nikiforov joined the Austin Symphony Orchestra of Minnesota for a concert titled American Voices. The program featured music by Ethyl Smyth and Margaret Bonds, as well as Florence Price’s Piano Concerto — one of the many pieces found in the composer’s summer home in 2009. Listen through the player above as host Tom Crann speaks with Osip about the concert, and enjoy his performances of Un poco di Chopin (A Little Bit of Chopin) and Pyotr Ilych Tchaikovsky and The Man I Love by George Gershwin.
