MacPhail Center for Music transforms lives and strengthens communities through the power of music. As the nation’s largest community music school, MacPhail serves more than 15,000 students in Minnesota each year—spanning all ages, abilities, and backgrounds—through lessons, classes, ensembles, and community partnerships led by extraordinary teaching artists.

About Havana Quartet
The Havana Quartet, founded in 2017, blends classical mastery with the vibrant rhythms of Cuba and Latin America. Comprised of graduates of Havana’s University of the Arts, the ensemble has performed with leading Cuban orchestras, earned honors including the Cubadisco Award, and appeared at major festivals and venues across Cuba and the United States. Now based in Minneapolis–Saint Paul, they perform widely throughout Minnesota and, as Project Amplify Artists-in-Residence at MacPhail, bring their dynamic artistry to schools and communities through workshops, performances, and educational programs.
