Tuesday, Nov. 11, is Veteran’s Day. In honor of the holiday, host Steve Staruch speaks to Bruce Gleason, a Minnesota native and U.S. Army Veteran. Gleason is also a musician, a professor at the University of St. Thomas, and a writer. In his latest book, Cold War Cadence: A Musician’s Berlin Memoir, he recounts, as a member of the 298 U.S. Army Band Berlin Brigade, how the Berlin Wall came down in 1989. Listen to the conversation as well as musical selections in honor of Veteran’s Day using the audio player above.
