Extra Eclectic

Women's history, women's present

Extra Eclectic - March 27, 2024

As we wrap up four weeks of music celebrating Women's History Month, it feels impossible to fit in everything we want to feature by the amazing women composers working today. Steve Seel brings us especially compelling pieces by Caroline Shaw (from her work To The Hands), Lithuanian composer Raminta Serksnyte (This Too Shall Pass), and works from two contemporary Iranian women composers: Mahdis Golzar Kashani and Gity Razaz.
