As we continue our samplings from the 2023 BBC Proms Festival, host Steve Seel features two new pieces recorded live at the Royal Albert Hall: the world premiere of Derrick Skye's Nova Plexus, a Proms commission, and the UK premiere of Peruvian composer Jimmy Bellido's Peru Negro. The second hour has a distinct Latin flavor, with works by Gabriela Lena Frank, Santiago Canon-Valencia and Mario Armengol.
