Extra Eclectic

A winter's solstice

Extra Eclectic - Dec. 21, 2022

Steve Seel presents his annual winter solstice program, with modern classical sounds for the longest night of the year, chosen especially to compliment the chilly, starry nights of the season. From Ola Gjeilo's setting of O Magnum Mysterium to John Luther Adams' Dream in White on White and violinist Gaelynn Lea's setting of O Come O Come Emmanuel, it's music that explores stillness and contemplation.
