40 years ago, Kronos Quartet began a long and productive relationship with American composer Terry Riley with a work that allowed the quartet to make certain contributions of their own. Steve Seel features Riley’s “Sunrise of the Planetary Dream Collector,” as well as works concerning “shadow and light” and a setting of three Polish Christmas carols by Witold Lutoslawski.
