Evren Ozel - Chopin Piano Recital

Just before packing his bags for Poland, 22-year-old pianist Evren Ozel played an all-Chopin program for a sold-out house at the Ordway Concert Hall in St. Paul. He grew up in Minneapolis and went to Warsaw to compete in one of the most prestigious competitions in the world, the International Chopin Competition. His St. Paul program included two Nocturnes, several Mazurkas, a Ballade and the Piano Sonata No. 2 (Funeral March). Listen now to his recital, which was recorded Sept. 12, 2021, with host Melissa Ousley.
