Rivers have long been great inspirations for composers - both as objects of natural beauty themselves and as metaphors for the idea of "a journey." In this hour of the show, we explore both angles of rivers from the perspective of 20th and 21st century composers with works by Joan Tower, Martin Butler, John Luther Adams, and the Norwegian group the Eple Trio.
