Composer John Luther Adams' "Become River" is one of a couple of water-themed works on this week's show. Steve Seel also features works from 20th century mavericks Olivier Messiaen, Jacob Druckman, and Colin McPhee, and the second hour is all about "plucked" sounds, from the guitar to the mandolin to the West African instrument called the kora.
