Instrument: Violin
Hometown: Minneapolis
Piece: Samuel Barber — Violin Concerto, I. Allegro moderato
Why did you choose this piece?
I chose this piece because I love its varying moods. The piece goes from a placid and tender beginning to crashing, angry runs, octaves, and string crossings. I love learning how to express all of these contrasting emotions!
