Sixteen-year-old powerhouse cellist Ifetayo Ali-Landing is the youngest PT Young Artist in this year's program. She was the First Place Laureate in the Junior Division at the 2017 Sphinx Competition in Detroit, Michigan and she was the Second Place Laureate in 2016.

She has performed with such orchestras as the New World Symphony, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Chicago Sinfonietta among others.

In 2013, Ali-Landing was honored at the Friends of the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra Rising Stars Showcase, where she recorded the first movement of the Cello Concerto No. 1 by Camille Saint-Saens. Since that time, the video has had more than 88,000 YouTube views and over 11 million views on Facebook.

The Chicago native will begin undergraduate studies this fall at the Colburn School of Music in Los Angeles, California.

Ifetayo was joined in the studio by pianist Martial Besombes.
