Resistance and Resilience: Julie Amacher chats with One Voice Mixed Chorus

'Resistance and Resilience': One Voice Mixed Chorus

One Voice Mixed Chorus, Minnesota's LBGTQA chorus, is presenting a concert this weekend called Resistance and Resilience. The concert explores the power of song in both the African American and LGBTQ communities in their struggles for human rights.

It features the midwest premiere of Quiet No More, a new commission honoring activists who fought back during the LGBTQ Stonewall uprising on this same weekend 50 years ago in NYC.

Listen to Julie Amacher's Performance Chat with guest conductor Tesfa Wondemagegnehu and artistic director Jane Ramseyer Miller.

One Voice Mixed Chorus presents its program 'Resistance and Resilience' at the Ordway on Saturday, June 29, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, June 30, at 2 p.m.
