It has only been a little more than a year since my appearance on Minnesota Varsity, but so much has happened! In January of this year, I won first place in both the YPSCA and the Rising Stars Concert Competitions. As a result of this, I performed the first movement of Grieg Concerto No. 1 with the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra and will also be appearing six times with the Minnesota Orchestra, playing the third movement of the same concerto! Aside from that, I also had two very unique experiences this summer: my brother Jacob and I were invited to play in a Prince tribute concert at Paisley Park by rock legend Sheila E, also his former drummer and fiancee. We also had the opportunity to open for the iconic rock band The Goo Goo Dolls last July! Both of these were so much fun!! In addition to this, Jacob and I were invited back to perform on NPR's From The Top at their annual gala in Boston. Such a great experience! Looking forward, I was just recently announced as the Featured Artist for the inaugural season of the Nicholson Brothers' Classical Music Series at the Hanifl Performing Arts Center in White Bear Lake, Minn. I am so incredibly honored and excited to be a part of this ground-breaking year!
