Morning Glories: The Great War

Every weekday at 10 a.m., the hosts at Classical MPR play a standout work based on the theme for the week. We call them Morning Glories.

This week marks the 100th anniversary of the United States entering WWI (April 6), so our Morning Glories will feature pieces composed about, during, and by veterans of the Great War.

Monday

Maurice Ravel: Le Tombeau de Couperin

Tuesday

Gustav Holst: The Planets - Mars

Wednesday

Arthur Bliss: Two Studies

Thursday

Maurice Ravel: Piano Concerto for the Left Hand

Friday

Ralph Vaughan Williams: Symphony No. 3 "Pastoral"
