What are your goals as a musician/performer/group?
Being a musician, I've entered into a world and a language that not everyone can understand. Music is one its own, challenging and intriguing those who take the time to try and comprehend it. We may use the music to communicate in a way that words cannot while expressing emotions ranging from the farthest reaching spectrums.
Similar to almost every other aspect of our busy-moving lives, music challenges me in a way that is hard to comprehend. Unlike math, which may only have one answer, music is made up of endless possibilities and opposite interpretations. To try and decide how and why one may choose to play a piece a certain way is something that challenges every one of us. And that is where we are the same. We are dealing with the same challenge in trying to form our own identity, and how we desire to go out into the world.
As an artist, I strive to communicate this beautiful language to those who are not as familiar with it. I believe that music is unifying in every sense if we are willing to go far enough into trying to understand it. My hope and wish as a musician is to use music to bring people together, rather than to remain opposed due to our everlasting differences. Music is sadness, hope, love, light, and passion, and it's our job as speakers of this beautiful language to get out into the world and use this towards unifying us as one
