41-year-old music director of the Philadelphia Orchestra, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, was recently named the successor to James Levine as music director at the Metropolitan Opera (though he won't start his new job until 2020).
Recently, video emerged of a young Nézet-Séguin conducting for a school performance, showing that he had a knack (and a passion) for his line of work from an early age. Watch him conducting Bolero in the video below.
