Why do you love to perform?
This is easily one of the hardest questions you can ask a performer. It is hard because to describe performing in words is near impossible, but I will try. I love to perform because I enjoy making people happy. When i perform, I can be anyone or anything. I can take away all of the pain in that person's life for those 2 hours, and make them really believe that I am that character. I love to perform because it is truly the one place I can be myself. Being in theatre you spend your entire career being other people. Although this is true, personally, I am only myself when I am up on stage. Performing is a unique experience in that it is always fleeting. You get one shot, one chance, one show, and then it is done. You will never experience that same thing again. You will never be with the same people, the same place, and even Broadway shows that have many performance a week, the shows still change from show to show. I love performing because there is nothing else like it in the world.
