Copper Street Brass is a full-time non profit educational ensemble that visits dozen of schools and does many clinics throughout the year. They are the only full-time brass ensemble in Minnesota and one of only a handful in America. They perform classical, jazz and pop/rock music all arranged by French horn player, Tim Bradley. They will be doing a week-long tour of schools in the southwest of Minnesota, as well as a mini-tour of the Iron Range, and a school in Willmar, and also Saint Paul.
We really like to connect with young people, not only to really, really excite kids about brass playing, but also to get the kids fired up just about music in general. We believe music education outreach is so very, very important because it not only helps students understand about history, and literature, and composers, and have a world view in life, but it also really helps them focus in the classroom as well. Having that connection just really, really inspires kids to work hard in school, and to be the best students they can be.
— Tim Bradley, French horn
