Creepy Classics Countdown 2014

When it came time to create the perfect soundtrack for trick-or-treating and Halloween parties, we turned to you for help.

So we asked for your nominations for Creepy Classics, the classical music that stirs feelings of dread, fear or suspense. You responded enthusiastically, and we used those suggestions to create a ballot.

More than 200 ballots were submitted during the voting period, after which point we totted up the votes and came up with the Creepy Classics Countdown for 2014 — the perfect Halloween soundtrack, shaped and voted on by you, our listeners.

Listen all day on Halloween as we count down the top 13; we'll play one at the top of each hour — taking a break during Performance Today, because Fred Child would rather not hear these scary tunes! — and then resuming in the late afternoon as we build to the 7 o'clock hour.

At 7 p.m., as costumed kiddies roam the streets in search of treats, Bill "Warlock" Morelock will take to the airwaves to count down the top 5 Creepy Classics.

Without further ado, here are your top 13 Creepy Classics for 2014:
