So says the opera diva Maria Callas while coaching a student singer in Terrence McNally's play 

But what is truth in art? What is truth in life? How do we find and define our legacy?

Theater Latté Da takes on these questions in its new production of 

, starring Sally Wingert as Callas, along with Kira Lace Hawkins and other gifted singers. Wingert and Hawkins came to Classical MPR with the show's director, Peter Rothstein, to consider the complex contradictions of Callas. They also performed a scene and an aria from the show.

Theater Latte Da - 'Master Class'

John Birge has been hosting, producing and performing classical music for more than 25 years. Since 1997, he has been hosting on Minnesota Public Radio's Classical Music Service. He played French horn for the Cincinnati Symphony and Pops Orchestra and performed with them on their centennial tour of Europe in 1995. He was trained at the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Eastman School of Music and Interlochen Arts Academy.
