The season opener for the LA Philharmonic was a spectacular and star-studded affair. Fans the likes of Jean-Yves Thibaudet to Kareem-Abdul Jabar came out in support of Gustavo Dudamel and Herbie Hancock's wonderful renditions of Gershwin.

About the Program

The charismatic Dudamel opens his third season as Music Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic with a dazzling program. His special guest is pianist Herbie Hancock, who'll play Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue and one-of-a-kind jazz improvs.

Brian Newhouse hosts and Brian Lauritzen co-hosts.
