Thursday, Jan. 27, 1 p.m.: Gustavo Dudamel has riveted Los Angeles like no other classical musician, and now he and the Los Angeles Philharmonic are going on the road to spread the excitement. Catch them on their first international tour together, live from the Barbican Centre in London. The orchestra will perform works by Adams, Bernstein and Beethoven. Brian Newhouse and Brian Lauritzen host.

Wednesday, Jan. 26, 6 p.m.: Michael Tilson Thomas leads the New World Symphony as it inaugurates its brand-new home in Miami. The New World Symphony is America's hottest young-musician orchestra, and their Frank Gehry-designed hall showcases them in a whole new way. Thomas will conduct Wagner, a world premiere by Thomas Ades, and the powerful American classic, Copland's Third Symphony. Julie Amacher and Fred Child co-host.
Classical Live will continue in May with broadcasts from Carnegie Hall.
