This summer, there's a new opportunity specifically for trans-feminine composers called the GLISS Composition Residency. Founded by composers Sarah Hennies, inti figgis-vizueta, and Andrew Yee, GLISS intends to provide musical mentorship in a trans-specific space and nurture a community that's otherwise hard to come by. As three emerging composers write and record music for cello and percussion, the founders of GLISS hope to strengthen the network of trans composers and musicians for years to come. Hennies and figgis-vizueta join us for a conversation about the inaugural GLISS Composition Residency.
