Pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason highlights the work’s hymn-like textures as signatures of Fanny’s distinctive musical voice. "Of a Spring Morning" is one of the last pieces Lili Boulanger composed before her death at age 24. Though she was essentially on her deathbed, the music doesn’t even hint at mortality.
