Robert Paterson: Dark Mountains

On overcast days, the mountains of Vermont lose their color, becoming grey silhouettes. And some of the roads are so dark you need headlights, even during the day. Composer Robert Paterson says that it's majestic and sometimes treacherous. We'll hear JoAnn Falletta lead the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra in a live performance of Paterson's new piece, Dark Mountains, on this weekend's Performance Today.
