In studio with Stile Antico
Stile Antico is one of the exciting new, young vocal ensembles to spring up in the few years. They are based in London, but the singers took time out of their hectic touring schedule to meet Performance Today host Fred Child at the Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church in Minneapolis for a special performance and conversation.
They talked with PT about the legacy of British choir schools, the challenges and rewards of working without a conductor, and sang the following pieces:
- William Cornysh: Woefully arrayed
- Orlando Lassus: In monte oliveti
- Tomas Luis de Victoria: Congratulamini mihi
- William Byrd: In resurrection
